ALE: Anti-Lamenessing Engine

imaging tricks

ALE, the Anti-Lamenessing Engine by David Hilvert, is a spiffy little tool for joining multiple images together to create a higher-quality picture. It's useful for, for example, stitching panorama components together, or removing noise from a series of similar images. It's especially useful for video processing, to remove text overlays and stitch frames into a larger picture.

I intend to put more info here, but for now I'm happy just to contribute to David's pagerank. Every time I search for ale's site, it takes a while to find, so I'm hoping I can help bump it closer to the top of its search results.
